Biography

Born and raised in Saltillo, a small city in northern Mexico.

Nestled in a valley between “La Sierra Madre” mountain range and the Sonoran Desert,  but currently based in Arizona.

He was bilingually educated, raised by teachers and received a B.A. in Psychology from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. Thus has spent

most of his life in various day jobs revolving around these themes (being bilingual, education and psychology) to help make ends meet for his family.

Recently, in his late thirties, he underwent a kind of identity crisis in the form of a creeping frustration with his life, as he was spending most of his waking hours making ends meet but not necessarily pursuing his desires.

Since he had always been fascinated by the visual arts, and having been taking pictures throughout his life as a hobby, photography was a readily available outlet for his creative urges. As he leaned more intentionally into photography as a craft, he quickly identified as a photographer as he could spend hours upon hours pursuing it, always craving more.

Although he still keeps busy, juggling family time, a full time day job (and two part time ones), he is increasingly leaning into fine art photography, and consistently working at his craft every week, honing on his creative voice and aesthetics, letting it organically grow and take over more of his waking hours as he is able.
