An observer walking life’s road, watching a mirage of images pass us by, using photography to find and capture the inherent beauty that accompanies us along the path.

Andres Gonzalez is a photographer best known for his spontaneous, painterly compositions featuring subjects and scenes he finds while roaming the urban landscape.

 

His approach combines a disciplined work ethic with incidental encounter. Instead of scouting and planning his shooting locations, Gonzalez prefers to wander and let his curiosity and intuition take the lead.

He relies on real-time gut feelings as he approaches the objects and environments that steal his gaze.

His work emphasizes basic visual elements we often take for granted: color, line, shape, texture, etc. Rarely modifying the scenes and objects he encounters, he employs traditional design principles to find aesthetic arrangements in-camera.
